A manual stacker truck, also called a hand stacker or manual stacker, is a non-powered material handling device designed for lifting, lowering, and stacking palletized loads to moderate heights within warehouses, workshops, or retail environments. It bridges the gap between a simple pallet jack and a full forklift.

Operated entirely by human effort, it features a sturdy mast with forks. The operator slides the forks into a pallet and then pumps a large handle rhythmically. This action engages a hydraulic pump, raising the forks and load vertically along the mast. Precise lowering is controlled by a release valve on the handle. Some models include small wheels for easier positioning.

Key advantages include significant cost savings (no battery or motor), minimal maintenance, quiet operation, and excellent maneuverability in tight spaces. It's ideal for light-to-medium duty tasks (typically lifting 500 kg to 1500 kg / 1100 lbs to 3300 lbs) to heights around 1.6m to 3m (5ft to 10ft), such as loading/unloading low shelving, staging goods, or replenishing racking where full forklift access isn't needed or practical.
